How we work, in production
Two anonymized engagements. Different industries, different problems, same shape: short scoped projects with measurable outcomes — and intelligence the client keeps.
U.S. national construction firm · Multi-phase engagement
12 production AI tools in 8 weeks. 671 hours of senior expertise recovered.
The situation
The client's most senior quality experts were the bottleneck for every job site. Their judgment — what made the firm differentiated — lived in spreadsheets, reports, and the heads of five people. As the firm grew, that expertise could not scale. Junior staff could not access it. New geographies could not tap it. And the senior team was burning out reviewing the same kinds of work year after year.
What we did
We embedded with the senior experts, codified how they actually made decisions, and turned that expertise into a working AI system in eight weeks. Twelve reusable tools in production, integrated into the existing workflow. No platform rewrite. No pilot purgatory. No model dependency that broke when the next release dropped.
What changed
671 hours of senior expert time recovered in the first phase, redeployed to the higher-judgment work only those people can do. The pilot turned into a multi-phase partnership. The intelligence layer is now extending into adjacent workflows.
What they own
All source code. All model configurations. The full intelligence layer that codifies their senior experts' judgment. They could end the relationship tomorrow and the system keeps running.
U.S. residential telecom operator · Program turnaround
Took over a 10-month-late program and shipped to production in 6 months. Web, iOS, Android.
The situation
The flagship subscriber platform was ten months behind schedule and three vendors deep. Every release pushed back the next. The product team had stopped believing dates. Web, iOS, and Android were all blocked on the same underlying mess. The executive team needed it shipped — for real — before the next budget cycle.
What we did
We took the entire program over. Inherited the codebase, fixed the architectural and process issues that had been compounding for a year, brought in senior engineering leadership, and shipped to production across all three platforms in six months. No theater. No rewrites we didn't need. Just code that survived contact with real users.
What changed
Production release across web, iOS, and Android. The product team rebuilt the muscle of shipping on dates they actually committed to. The platform is now in active expansion.
What they own
All code. All architecture. Full handover to their internal team. We stayed engaged because the next phase was more valuable than the last — not because they couldn't operate without us.
